Bermuda Nov. 23rd, 2006

I didn't think I would have a chance to blog here in Bermuda, but I was wrong. It was a long trip yesterday, I got delayed in New York for a few more hours than I was supposed too, but I made it here, and the flight to Bermuda from NY was bumpy, fun for me, but I don't think it was for some of my fellow passengers. Anyway I was reminded of John Lithgow's character in The Twilight Zone: The movie. I had a window seat over the left wing of the plane. I was waiting to see the little demon appear and start ripping apart the wing. But he never showed up, so we landed safely.
On a different note, I was in NY's JFK airport and I had some downtime in between flights, so I went outside for a smoke. There is a huge sign in the airport that says 'Welcome to New York' and I asked one of the TSA agents if I could take a picture; 'NO' with a shake of a head is all I got. I guess there is no picture taking in airports for security reasons. LOL.
Let's see; oh yeah, I am staying with Leanne (Lena), Greg ..1, Greg ..2. They have been very hospitable, and Kim gave me a ride here from the airport because Lena doesn't like riding with two people on her scooter. So, the ride here from the airport was crazy. It was raining so hard. I was totally soaked. Today, it has been raining on and off for most of the day. I went into Hamilton today, we all ate lunch, and I rented a scooter for three days. Now let me say that if you ever come to Bermuda, rent a scooter, I totally recommend it. I have been flying around on a scooter all morning. I came back here to rest for a minute and take it all in. I am really happy because I get drive here, up to 40-45 Km/h. which is amazing. I haven't driven in years in the states, and here I am flying around driving on the left side of the road instead of the right, and loving every minute of it. I took a couple of pictures. I am going to go back to town I think and take some pictures of the bay. I think the Gregs are going to the DockYards tomorrow, so I might join them. It is also cool that they use both Bermuda money and American money. They are equal to each other. It makes the tourism here easier I guess. I went to the ATM and withdrew the money for my scooter, and it came out in Bermuda money. The money here is also cool. Every bill has The Queen of England on the front. It is all different colors, and the denominations are the same as American money. It is really cool. Well, if I have time to blog again tomorrow or Sunday, I will, if not then I won't.
