I just caught the end of something great... Sept. 22nd, 2006
So I was watching the weather channel a few hours ago, and then a warning came across the screen. It told me a storm was heading my way. Not just any storm either. This was one of those early spring storms. Where the sky gets all green, and the clouds move in different directions. I watched as it approached the college. Then I remembered I had a camera downstairs. BAM! Lightning struck one of the rods on top of the roof, and I was pissed because I wanted a picture. So I ran for my camera, cup of coffee in hand and everything. I got my camera but by the time I got back outside, the lightning was not striking as often, so I got to take some really cool pictures of the green sky and all the different levels of clouds. Then I went to the other side of campus to try and see the storm moving east. I got out there and took a few more pictures and then the rain came. What I noticed about the rain is; it came down so hard that it blocked out the color of the sky. It was dark and green before the rain fell, but then it lightened up outside when the rain came. The rain fell so hard and in sheets it was awesome. I love when Mother Earth tells us she is still in control. Just thought I would share this because I could follow storms for a living, if someone paid me that is...

ken im not so sure that was a normal storm. I'd get out of there as soon as possible. Its only a matter of hours before the jet stream brings remnants of the radiation in your direction.
