Another day in the life... June 11th, 2007

Watching the chaos from afar was easier than being enveloped in it,
Searching for life's answers at the bottom of whiskey bottles for years,
Never realizing those answers are not printed there,
Continuously searching for answers and finding none, only heartache,
Mean words spoke, feelings hurt, ego's damaged, still no answers,
Life has a way of repeating itself over and over again,
The pain comes and the pain goes, the happy times come and they go also,
Finding the peace of mind is the most tricky part,
Searching for those answers is a trying business and not one for the weak heart,
Wandering around asking people for help, desperately pleading your case,
Not realizing that nobody can help the helpless, nobody!
This is the story of a life once forgotten, a life worth living but discarded,
Thrown away by its owner because they didn't see its value,
If that life could have been retrieved and put back together for them to see...
Would they re-claim it, would they take it back and try again?
Life and Death, Love and Hate, Good and Evil, Black and White,
Is there no middle ground in all those opposites?
Constantly wondering what tomorrow has in store, worrying about it,
Sleepless nights on the couch of hatred and disgust,
Feeling the pain of others, wanting to end it all, wanting the suffering to end,
Not knowing how or why things happen the way they do,
Asking the spirits for help, doing rain dances in the sunshine,
Reaching out into thin air for ghosts that no longer live, ghosts who discarded life
Here we all stand, in the dark, searching for the light, searching for a moment,
One moment of zen, one moment of nirvana, one moment everyone wishes for,
If only there was one more moment of life, then maybe things would be clearer,
Maybe, just maybe, the answers would present themselves,
But that moment is like a dream you cannot remember,
Or was it a nightmare?
A dream or a nightmare with all the answers you seek,
Answers you already knew but refused to believe,
Fight for what you got, and never look back or forward, only this moment,
View this moment for what it is worth, if you don't, then you might never know,
The answers to life, the answers that everyone seeks, the answers are here,
Life is exactly that, LIFE!
Choose it, re-incarnation might not happen, then where will you be???
