The First Day of the Rest of My Life!!! Aug. 11th, 2009

Yesterday's blog was a bit charged and dark.  Today is not much different but I do have a more clear understanding of where I am going (in the connotative sense, not the denotative).  The road of life is always bumpy, never smooth.  I have hired construction crews in the past, or been forced by the state to clean up my road.  I have tried many times to make it a nice even highway.  Where the water runs off to the side during a rainstorm.  But those fixes have become potholes again.  My travelers are complaining about the condition of my road.  I have been trying to re-pave the entire thing.  The project is so huge, and as Chicago goes for summer, you can always count on construction.  There are those annoying saw horses and barricades blocking some of the lanes.  I tried to make it as easy as possible, but recently I have encountered more traffic, so the jam has started.  You all have to merge to one lane for now.  Don't worry I am going to put a song up for your listening pleasure while you wait for the parking lot to clear out...

Written by Chris Cornell

You wired me awake
And hit me with a hand of broken nails
You tied my lead and pulled my chain
To watch my blood begin to boil

But I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run
Yeah I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Too cold to start a fire
I'm burning diesel burning dinosaur bones
I'll take the river down to still water
And ride a pack of dogs

But I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run
Yeah I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

Hits like a Phillips head
Into my brain
It's gonna be too dark
To sleep again
Cutting my teeth on bars and rusty chains
I'm gonna break my Rusty cage and run

When the forest burns
Along the road
Like God's eyes
In my headlights
When the dogs are looking
For their bones
And it's raining icepicks
On your steel shore

But I'm gonna break
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run
Yeah I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my
I'm gonna break my rusty cage and run

The writer is back, let's hope that never leaves me!
