The new career Jan. 2nd, 2008

Going beyond all the other things I can say that I do or have done, I have chosen to follow a new career.  Whether or not it is going to be a good choice remains to be seen.  I have been thinking of doing this for a long time, but haven't had the time or the money to pursue it.  Now I do!  I am talking of my career as a professional card player.  Yes, Maverick if you will!  I finished 14th out of 60 players last week in a midnight Texas Hold Em tournament.  Last Sunday I finished 51st out of 100 in a free roll in Michigan.  But due to lack of sleep because of the early start time I didn't have it in me to go further in the tourney.  From now on, I will not say Texas Hold Em when I post blogs, I will just state the 'tournament' and it should be just assumed I mean Texas Hold Em.  My priority is still school, but in my downtime from school I will be honing my skills as a professional poker player.  I went yesterday to register for a tournament in Michigan with Esfandiari.  He is major player in the poker circuits.  He is hosting a tournament this Sunday in Michigan.  I registered with the help of Joy (thanks babe), and I will give it my all.  First place pays 12 grand, so that is my last hoorah before school starts next week.  I am going to be the best at this new career.  One day I can say I am a bracelet owner, and one day you will all see my handsome face on ESPN's final table broadcast of the WSOP in Vegas.  Wish me luck!  I am going to need it!
Happy New Year~
Later
Kenny
