I have worked hard for an end, Not a means to one,
But a legitimate climax, A path with a destination,
Mistake after mistake, Is all I have for memories,
Yet everyday I get out of bed, not for want, but habit,
Knowing that if I don't enter the world of the living,
I am as good as dead...Too many are dead as it is,
Too many memories of fallen soldiers of youth,
Too many dark lit alleys of disease and death,
Too many innocents harmed along the way,
So here I stand trying to turn around a life,
A life of mistakes, turning around a life,
A life of mistakes, this path seems endless,
I hope the road has an ending, I am tired of wandering,
Wandering aimlessly through a world of teared eyes,
and broken hearts that cannot mend,
Tired of standing on aching feet,
Thinking with a head full of pain,
The brain is full of those memories of mistakes,
The constant reminder of a life of mistakes,
Turning around a life is a hard thing to do!
