October 19th: Tonight is the night Oct. 19th, 2006

Our last dress rehearsal was last night.  Some of the cast feel they didn't perform well; but I think they all did great considering the circumstances.  The stage should have been completed by now; I mean the main stage is up; but the the little extras should have been up.  The builder is taking care of the last little adjustments today I guess.  I don't mind; I had a brain spasm in the middle our third act last night.  I screwed up my blocking; and just wandered around the stage.  Luckily; the other actors/actresses picked me up.  But that is what makes a great performance; picking up your partner because you are listening and watching.  Being Aware is the term I should I have used.  Well; tonight we have an audience.  A big audience from what I hear.  It is our preview show; which means it is free; so there will be a lot of students from different acting and theatre classes who are supposed to come.  All I can say is; I love this feeling; when I wake up and spring out of bed.  I ran downstairs to make some coffee; write down my thoughts and here I am; 7:51 AM 2 hours ahead of any place to be; and I am smiling.  I am tired and my body aches from our late night; but I love acting.  I love when I walk into the theatre and see the nervousness on other's faces; and look at the stage; I love hearing the Stage Manager yell 30 minutes; 25 minutes; 15 minutes; etc.
Come out and see it if you can.  But I gotta go; shower, shave, oh and Mia is sick; so she has to go to the vet today; I have to make sure she is ready; The Big Guy is coming to take her over to Franklin Park for a check up.  Another thing I am appreciative of today is my family.  They know my schedule is hectic right now; and they are helping me by taking one of my animals in for a check up/medication.  She keeps sneezing.  I feel bad for her because I can't go; but I have a midterm today...I am rambling...
